So about last night...
In the last 30 odd hours I've been in a car for about 14 of them with my parents Vince and Paula. I wanted them to be present with me for a truly historic and memorable event, the World Premiere of The Legend Of Ben Hall.
Sadly the cinema in Forbes, NSW, Australia burnt down and has not been rebuilt to its full capacity. In the meantime, a new micro-cinema popped up earlier this year, however it only seats 44 people, which is about 900 seats short of the spectacular turnout last night at the Forbes Showgrounds to be amongst the first people to ever see the feature film adaption of the infamous bushranger, Ben Hall.
The Forbes Shire Council mayor and deputy mayor were present, as well as many councillors and hundreds and hundreds of locals, not to mention the amazingly talented cast and crew.
Mother Nature turned it on for us, it was 31 glorious degrees during the day and under a cloudless, starry night, we proceeded to be mesmerised by the film on an enormous 15m wide x 3 story high cinema screen.
Here is a picture from the VIP red carpet media wall area of myself with the ridiculously talented Matthew Holmes, writer, producer and director.
It was truly an honour to be there, screening the historically accurate film about one of Australia's most wanted men, less than 1km away from his final resting place. The film has now officially begun its regional premiere tour before hitting the capital cities. The best is yet to come!
It is honestly a wonderful honour to be involved in this film as both a cast member (playing historical figure Constable Wiles) and crew member (Executive Producer).
THE LEGEND OF BEN HALL will be releasing in cinemas nationally on December 1, 2016.
Check out the official website to see the trailer and more information. The best is yet to come.
